ITW Deltar Fasteners is a large division within the Automotive Segment and serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners. Locations include:  Frankfort, IL;  Chippewa Falls, WI and our Commercial Sales and Engineering in Troy, MI.

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) – Commercial will act as the comprehensive HR leader with a strong emphasis on strategic talent acquisition and commercial training development for the Troy, MI office. The location has approximately 100 total office individuals and supports the Sales, Engineering, Innovation and Marketing functions within the Division. The position will require most of the time to be spent via in-office support. This role will report to the Division HR Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key division stakeholders to develop and execute on talent acquisition strategies for commercial resources
  • Lead common recruitment processes including attraction and identification of a diverse pool of qualified candidates, screening, scheduling, and conducting of interviews, sharing of talent across multiple division roles and providing thoughtful feedback to candidates
  • Own the on-boarding experience in conjunction with commercial leaders to effectively transition and integrate new talent into the commercial organization
  • Develop a commercial training strategy to include both on-going and adhoc training as part of gap assessment in conjunction with key stakeholders to bridge talent gaps
  • Support annual review of Sales Incentive Plan strategy including performance metrics, key motivators and ensure alignment with the business growth strategy
  • Develop and champion a sales recognition program to motivate and further incentivize the commercial team as a part of culture and engagement
  • Drive participation of talent in employee development programs including commercial interns, leadership development program cohorts and other development initiatives
  • Address basic employee relations and performance issues, escalate when necessary
  • Drive culture of diversity & inclusion as part of collaborative cross-divisional approach

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree
  • Progressive experience in strategic talent acquisition related to mid-high level commercial roles preferred
  • Experience in training or development program management preferred
  • Comfortable using a variety of social media platforms and able to work with several digital footprints required
  • Demonstrated experience as an influential business partner through strong business acumen and candor.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to gather and analyze data and statistics and present findings
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed (less than 25%)
