INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

The Engineering Intern will report to the Technology Engineering Manager within Hobart Service.  This position is responsible for improving service product offerings by utilizing analytical techniques and engineering capabilities. This position will help to improve equipment reliability and to increase the up time for our customers by creating predictive service solutions. The successful individual will work closely with the Product Support Team, Project Leaders and Product Managers to create and deliver tools  and processes to improve customer equipment experience and quality.

INTERNSHIP DETAIL

This position will be part of a team responsible for improving the customer experience in the food equipment service industry. Hobart Service Product support develops innovative solutions to increase customer up time and improve product quality. This is a minimum 12-week internship located in the Hobart Technology Center on the corporate campus in Troy, Ohio.

During the on-boarding period, the candidate will learn about Hobart Service business structures and key technologies, and how they drive the growth of our business.  Time will be spent on discussing the Hobart product offerings including the ITW Customer-Back Innovation Process, Technology on key products, and analyzing field service data.

In this role the Engineering Intern will develop valued solutions for our customers. This will include defining expected return on investment and creating the business proposal with a report out to leadership. 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Junior or Senior college student, pursuing a degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering. An educational focus on Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering preferred.
  • Willing to complete 12-week internship at our corporate location in Troy, OH.
