The Seats & Motion Division within the ITW Automotive Segment delivers highly differentiated, precision-engineered plastic solutions to our “80” global OEMs & Tiers across North America and Europe through customer back innovation, targeted at addressing the emerging pain points associated with passenger seating & comfort, and ensuring best-in-class quality & delivery through our commitment to 80/20 operational excellence. ​ 

 

Position Summary:

The Commercial Finance Lead will be a critical role for supporting the organic growth initiatives of the division globally. This is a newly created role and will directly report to the Division Controller. This role is the primary liaison between the finance function and the commercial function and will develop deep partnerships and domain expertise with the Sales team. As such, the Commercial Finance Lead will also be a dotted line report to the Sales & Engineering Director. In addition, this role will need to collaborate with other cross-functional teams including Engineering, Innovation, IT and HR, across a multi-site Global Division for driving growth initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sales forecasting: Drive the sales forecast process with Sales Leaders to develop short-term and long-term forecasts for Monthly/Quarterly Outlook, Annual Plan and Long-range Plans
  • Sales analytics for actionable insights:
    • Monthly and quarterly sales analysis with meaningful variance commentary
    • Analysis of Addressable Market, Market-share, $/car and Revenue by OEM, Product, Region etc.
    • Analysis of Secured vs Unsecured revenue and gap-assessment for simulation of sales targets
  • Sales Pipeline Monitoring: Monitor Sales Pipeline through the Sales Process from Target stage until Sold-Order (Business award), including ‘conversion’ rates
  • KPIs & Dashboards: Develop and monitor Sales KPIs; and implement Dashboards for KPI reporting
  • Customer quotes: Develop/maintain financial and pricing models for commercial deals, participate in deal reviews and highlight financial implications of commercial decisions for recommendations.
  • Pricing support: Support and monitor pricing negotiations and mid-cycle price-actions with customers.
  • IT Systems: Support any IT systems or applications related to Sales or ERP for Revenue management.
  • Sales Bonus: Track and support Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) bonuses.
  • Segmentation Analysis: Strategic analysis to support appropriate Segmentation for revenues.
  • Participate in ITW Toolbox Initiatives within the business (FTB 80/20, USa, PLS)
  • Other commercial focused finance projects as needed.

 

 

 

Position Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing, Accounting/Finance or Business Administration.
  • 3-6 years of commercial or finance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience partnering with the commercial or sales organization is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is a must.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively communicate across levels.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) with proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to manage large data sets using VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize daily functions as well as the ability to multi-task is critical.
  • Prior-experience with Power-BI or other BI-Dashboard tools is a plus.
  • Excitement to work in a fast-paced environment that's deadline driven and focused on creating cross-functional value-added partnerships.

  • Position may require working across multiple time-zones and cultures, in a global environment.
  • Position may require some travel (up to 20%). Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record. Must be able to travel internationally, if required.
