Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and perform major repairs, overhauls and rebuilds on production and auxiliary machinery in a manufacturing environment. This includes, but not limited to; mechanical, electrical (including PLC), hydraulic, pneumatic, facility and grounds.
  • Proficiently maintain machinery through preventive maintenance, lubrication, cleaning and replacement of parts with the use of wrenches, tools, calipers, and gauges.
  • Keep all manufacturing lines up and running and assist manufacturing teams with all problems relating to product quality and machine safety, including lock out / tag out procedures.
  • Ensure building security and maintain water and fire systems along with facilities maintenance.
  • Follow all prescribed safety/housekeeping practices and procedures. Perform 5-S activities and improvements as required.
  • Identify and tag safety hazards on machinery and in work area.
  • Track machine downtime per shift.
  • Work with other team members and participates in team events and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree with emphasis in electrical/electronic and /or automation preferred.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing/warehouse setting in related field
  • Prior experience working with metal fabrication equipment and PLC control/ automation is a plus.
  • Must possess an understanding and working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Able to read and understand operating instructions and to interpret complex instructions, sketches, blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Related licenses/certifications are a plus.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical manufacturing working conditions.  While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to fumes, heat and dust, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment.  The noise level in the work environment is high when exposed to the manufacturing areas.  Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas. Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to grip, grasp, reach, push and pull with hands and arms, walk, stand, speak and listen. Occasionally climb, kneel, bend, and sit.  The employee must occasionally lift, push and pull up to 25 pounds.
