ITW Polymers Sealants North America, Inc. offers expanded sealants solutions to various industries and its key markets including construction (roofing, surfacing, metal building, and fenestration), aerospace composites and wind energy. The operator is responsible for safely operate the Tank Farm according to required guidelines.

TANK FARM

 

  • Supervise the Unloading of Liquid tankers into the ITW tank system
  • Must be able to wok unsupervised
  • Set up, direct and supervise tankers in accordance with ITW safety plan
  • Daily inventories of tanks and existing capacities
  • Full understanding of Hazardous communication and RCRA training
  • Working Outdoors on a daily basis
  • Maintain accurate inventory in the department. Utilize inventory techniques as directed by the management. Participate in periodic company physical inventory.
  • Maintains housekeeping in the area.
  • Other related duties as directed by management. (including filling in with another department on an “as need” basis)

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma preferred
  • 3-4 years of related experience

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Working knowledge of Hazardous Material Handling and Transportation regulations, with appropriate certificate(s) of training (or be able to acquire them).
  • Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math.
  • Must be familiar with computerized inventory control systems.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass fork truck driver training and obtain OSHA approved license.
  • May be required to pass a physical exam for wearing a respirator, which is a requirement for the tank farm operator position.
