ITW ShineMark has 75+ years of experience providing innovative, customer-centric, and sustainable decorative foils, holographic, and TTR to the global packaging, labeling, and coding markets.

The primary goal of the Embossing operator is to perform a variety of film embossing (design imprinting) machine setups and operations to imprint a design(s) onto various films; some material slitting and rewinding, material handling and finished product.


§  Work from specifications, product and application standards, samples, production schedules, priorities and other information to setup and operate embossing machines to imprint designs through heat/pressure onto various films. 

§  Make required machine changeovers and (Un)load materials, completed work; making machine adjustments to material feeds, imprint shims, rollers or cylinders, take-up/idler rolls, tension rollers, heating/cooling or curing sources according to material type.

§  Ensure adjustments are made to machine’s computerized control panel; that continuous observations and necessary adjustments are made. 

§  Ensure material rolls are rewound where required.  Operate rewinding machines.

§  Ensure machines are routinely maintained; that specific products material stocks are available and ready for production runs.  Ensure items in low supply are replaced.

§  Record production run quantities, job orders, product and materials used.

§  Maintain established quality and quaintly standards, records or work performed.  Follow prescribed safety precautions

§  Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, operational and safe condition by confirming area to 5S standards

Qualifications:

§  High School diploma or equivalent

§  Previous work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment similar to the core competencies of ITW Products (coating, metallizing and converting, embossing) 

§  Lift, move, push up to 55 lbs.

§  Good mechanical ability and the ability learn and understand coating machinery functions and requirements

§  Possess good judgment and decision making skills

§  Be well organized and possess good verbal and written communication skills

§  Interpret, understand and adhere to customer requirements

§  Able to adapt to challenging and demanding work environment

§  Flexibility and willingness to work in other cells within ITW as assigned

§  Forktruck certified or willingness to train to be certified
