ITW Graphics, a division of ITW, is a global manufacturer with a footprint in the US, Italy, and Asia. ITW Graphics is seeking a Quality Manager based in our Manchester, CT facility to play a critical role in the operations of our process. This is a fantastic opportunity that will allow for both personal and professional development!

Recommends, leads, and implements projects such as: operational process control, quality improvement, scrap reduction, new product development controls / process development and 80/20 initiatives such as PLS and in-lining. Manage the Quality and ISO system by maintaining plant conformance and implementing efficiency / process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Quality personnel.
- Plans and delegates duties and assignments, administers performance reviews, discipline, training, and ensures policies and practices are followed.
- Monitor the quality system, analysis quality trends and develop action plans for improvement.
- Lead ISO program and maintain related files. Coordinate ISO compliance for the site.
- Lead and maintain quality management system. Drive continuous improvement of quality systems.
- Utilize ITW 80/20 Business Process for problem solving and process improvement activities/projects.
- Partner with R&D for all site related new product introductions. Active involvement in the new product stage gate process.
- Work with customers on customer complaints (lead and organize containment action, root cause analysis and short and long- term corrective and preventive actions).
- Work with customer service and sales on initiating/closing RGA’s and corrective actions.
- Establish and monitor relevant metrics to track and implement actions to improve the facilities overall quality performance, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Work with engineering to complete PPAP documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, Flow Chart and Part Submissions).
- Create, review and update quality procedures and work instructions.
- Perform training for manufacturing/quality associates to work instructions and procedures.
- Provide hands-on Quality support, direction, and training to the Manufacturing Department.
- Perform internal and supplier audits. Use the results to initiate appropriate process improvements.
- Define and publish Product Quality Specifications.
- Develop, formalize, implement, and manage a Supplier quality system that ensures incoming materials meet specifications.
- Work in a safe manner, following all OSHA and company procedures.
Qualifications:
BS in Engineering, Operations, Chemistry, or related degree. Preferred advanced degree. Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment using tools such as 80/20, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. to improve quality and productivity. Very strong analytical ability and logical problem-solving skills. Demonstrated project success in scrap reduction, automated process equipment up-time improvements, lead time reductions, etc. Excellent communication, and analytical skills, MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
