SCOPE:

Provide the sales organization with a customer contact support associated with inquiries, orders, quotes and communications. Requires product knowledge and substantial independent judgement

Basic Function

They should also be detail oriented and possess strong mathematical, verbal and written skills.
This position is responsible for understanding all Vulcan FEG product lines, their uses, applications and pricing. They must have the product knowledge and necessary skills to resolve a wide array of inquiries. This is the primary contact for territory reps, as well as customers, key dealers, and other influences of product purchase decisions. Tight constrains are common. Telephone and email diplomacy are critical to success in the function.

  • Order entry, status, and changes 
  • Product availability
  • Quotations and Pricing
  • Product information and specifications
  • Delivery information and coordination 
  • Corresponds with customers, field sales, marketing and business units 
  • Invoice dispute resolution
  • Return authorizations
  • Complaint resolutions
  • Computer skills
  • Motivated to learn 
  • Willingness to adapt to change
  • Ability to work in a team setting 
  • Possess organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and remain calm in difficult situations
  • Some travel may be required for product training
  • Other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications:

Position requires a college degree/ B.S. or B.A. equivalent and one to three years’ customer service or related area experience 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office Environment
  • Travel up to 10%.
