The Food Equipment Group is one of seven ITW decentralized business segments seeking Assemblers for their Warewash Business Unit located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The Warewash Business Unit produces efficient commercial dishwashers and waste reduction products that are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, cruise ships, schools, universities, and retail establishments. As the industry leader, Warewash is seeking to expand growth in existing served markets as well as new markets.
Summary:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will perform a range of assembly procedures following quality and safety processes.
What you will do:
- Assembles and repairs equipment according to work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
- Perform a range of operations connected with assembly of components and sub-assemblies required for assembly of dishwasher tanks/pulpers/extractors/dehydrators/disposers
- Verify measurements throughout the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean working environment and follow established procedures for ordering parts.
- Perform responsibilities and tasks following Safety and Quality practices and procedures
- Work with Stero/Somat team to produce waste equipment and quality dishwashing machines
- Read and understand written instructions.
- Work independently and with others to achieve production goals.
- Demonstrates a high level of competency on assembling of machines
Qualifications:
What we are looking for:
- High School or GED
- One year of manufacturing experience, preferred.
- Detailed oriented
- Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Basic fabrication and mechanical assembly, electrical wiring experience, pipe fitting experience and/or welding experience.
- Time management skills
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- May be required to lift up to 35 pounds
- Periods of working in hot/cold manufacturing environment
- Demonstrates basic proficiency in reading and understanding instructions to perform assembly in proper order and sequence
- Attendance is an essential function
