**Please note, due to business operations, this is a fully on-site role.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Texwipe product lines and manufacturing processes, including material content and manufacturing department functions.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all Texwipe information systems, which support cost accounting and manufacturing. Specific system modules which would be understood including but are not limited to: Bill of Materials, Routing, Inventory, Product Data Mgt., Cost Accounting, Product Costing Module, purchasing, .and TMS. Audit, on a regular basis during the month, all closed work orders and inventory adjustments.
- Communicate with appropriate manufacturing staff to correct work orders and adjustments containing erroneous data in order to ensure the accuracy of cost data prior to the fiscal closing process.
- Prepare all necessary month-end closing analyses and journal entries required to book the cost of goods sold, miscellaneous inventory adjustments, and all other necessary cost-related transactions.
- Provide any necessary support for the month-end closing, including cooperating financial report generation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly statistics reports.
- Provide budget support by developing: labor rates, variable overhead rates, and schedules required for budget comparison and analysis.
- Maintain Standard Costing System for Item Master File on an annual basis with revisions as needed for: Material, direct labor, and overhead (departmental and product line specific).
- Prepare standard costing for all new products and engineering revisions. Prepare standard cost estimates as required.
- Recommend systems and procedures applicable to the cost accounting functions.
- Document procedures and maintain documentation.
- Assist in the audit and cost of all inventories.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance with proficiency in spreadsheet analysis using Lotus in a network environment.
- Three to five years experience in Cost Accounting as well as a general understanding of standard accounting practices, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business literature and financial reports.
- Ability to write financial reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives and managers.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of management at the corporate office and all manufacturing sites by oral and written means.
- Ability to work with general accounting and cost accounting concepts.
- Ability to apply the same concepts to manufacturing processes.
- Ability to review and interpret financial and system data; possess financial problem-solving skills. Ability to recommend procedures, which will enhance the Company's cost performance, productivity, and cost-related information
