As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the safety, quality, productivity, and talent management for your assigned shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.  This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for managing a team of 10-20 employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promotes a culture where safety is number 1 by actively coaching employees on safety behaviors. 
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality standards through regular inspections and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality department to address and resolve quality concerns promptly.
  • Analyzes daily production activities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Leverages ITW toolbox methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach production team members to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Continuously work on closing gaps identified in shift’s skills matrix and help with developing employees.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between departments.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to achieve overall production goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma OR GED plus 5+ years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in a Science, engineering or other related technical field and 2+ years of related experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols, quality control, and production processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for building a culture of employee development and building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
