ITW Drawform & Sexton is a $200M USD Division within Illinois Tool Works’ Automotive Segment.  It has an excellent reputation for delivering top results and exceeding customer expectations within the deep draw and aerosol can industries.


  • Defines process parameters and optimizes the parameters using data analysis
  • Defines the automation layout within a required space
  • Works with external suppliers to select the correct equipment to meet the required performance parameters.
  • Oversees installation of automation equipment and ensures various equipment communicates and operates together according to specifications
  • Performs daily reviews of system data and scrap rates and makes appropriate corrections or adjustments to the lines in a timely manner to ensure operational efficiencies are maintained
  • Diagnose, maintain and program PLC’s and robots.
  • Creates and updates maintenance guidelines, training of operators, maintenance colleagues and communicates appropriately with internal resources. Updates production & maintenance documentation.
  • Line setup for prototypes production, support during prototype production.
  • Communicates with suppliers.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or working towards degree. Electrical or Mechanical Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of PLCs and PLC programming, Robotics, and Vision System. SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience highly desirable

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (equipment suppliers, outside engineers) to support project development activities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage projects and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Self-starter; works with minimal supervision; capable of offering up and making decisions.
  • Effective oral, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Team-player with aptitude to learn the ITW culture and work within a fast-pace environment.
