Service and Repair Technician

Brooks Instrument, a global manufacturer of flow and pressure measurement and control products for critical applications, and a division of ITW (A Fortune 200 Company) is seeking candidates for a Service and Repair Technician. Brooks maintains manufacturing, sales, and service center facilities around the world, and our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, petro-chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, nuclear, and solar cells.

      


Receiver / Quoter – Service and Repair Technician

Basic Function

Unbox devices that have arrived in need of repair/calibration/ Make sure devices have proper paperwork

along with being tagged and received in RMA Tracking System, also quote the device for repair/calibration. In addition to receiving and quoting, also teardown and rebuild of industrial devices that come into the service center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and quote devices.
  • Unpackage devices.
  • Purge and/or clean devices.
  • Check for proper paperwork and tag devices.
  • Receive and quote devices using Brooks Service Tracking and Business systems.
  • Communicate with customers via email with specified canned responses.
  • Teardown and rebuild of industrial devices.
  • Pressure test and Helium test of industrial devices.
  • Fill out paperwork for each device and enter information into the Service Tracking system.
  • Follow established procedures and processes.
  • Support company and department continuous improvement initiatives.
  • The ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Take direction from team leads and management.
  • Regular attendance and the ability to get along with others in a team environment.
  • Suggest improvements and modifications for process improvements.
  • Able to work independently along with being able to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to know when to escalate an issue to team lead.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Industrial Calibrator – Service and Repair Technician

    Basic Function

    Test and calibrate flow measurement of industrial controllers.

    Disassemble, clean, and reassemble industrial devices that come into the Service/Repair Department

    Tools and Equipment

    •  Various hand tools that are appropriate for repairing devices.
    • Computers and Printers.
    • Brooks Business systems.

    Qualifications:

    Tools and Equipment 

    Wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, test equipment and basic computer programs

    Education and Experience

     

    • Computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word as well as other internal software systems.
    • Experience of electro-mechanical parts assembly a plus.
    • Familiarity with some hand tools and their application/use preferred.
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Calibrator test required for calibrator role
