The Accountant will report to the Controller and will be responsible for a wide variety of analytical and specialized Accounting administrative support including: Maintaining records & systems, generating financial reports for various groups, assisting with AR and AP. The Accountant will also assist the Controller with G/L reconciliations and end of month closing entries. The Accountant must have a solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable/accounts receivable principles, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Individual should be highly organized and detailed-oriented and possess the ability to effectively work both independently and in a team setting. In addition, this role includes the performance of detailed accounting to support and meet financial reporting and internal control requirements. This role will be based out of Hatfield PA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare account reconciliations, variance analyses, and various accrual calculations
  • Perform month-end closing procedures and assist with annual tax kit and audit reviews
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and internal control procedures
  • Support projects from various managers and maintain necessary files and report
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
  • Recommend and implement work process improvements
  • Review and prepare payroll entry
  • Send remittance information to vendors and resolve payment inquiries. 
  • Process payments received from customers and applying payment accurately and timely to customer invoices and credit memos.
  • Manage fixed asset system
  • Assist with property tax filings
  • Assist with Internal and External audits
  • Prepare and distribute monthly/weekly/daily reports
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years previous accounting experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Strong & Professional Communication skills
  • Great accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel – VLOOKUP, Pivot tables
  • Self-motivated, ability to multitask, and high level of professionalism
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
