The ITW Corporate Finance and Accounting organization is seeking a Analyst to be a part of the Management Reporting and Analysis team. The Management Reporting group is charged with providing timely and effective management reporting, issuing accurate reporting of external segment financial statements, delivering Investor Relation communications, and driving operational efficiencies through process improvements and automation. The Analyst will obtain a good understanding of financial processes and analysis within a large multinational corporate environment. The Analyst will report to the Supervisor in Management Reporting and work closely with corporate and business management members by:
- Preparing monthly financial results for the company’s external and operational financial reporting.
- Preparing presentations in support of both internal and external constituencies.
- Providing reporting of segment data.
- Supporting operating Group and Senior Management with the financial application (HFM) training and reporting.
- Working on various projects, related data requests and financial reports to support strategic initiatives, ad hoc projects and assignments as they develop.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting is required; MBA a plus
- 2+ years of relevant corporate and/or industry accounting experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment are essential
- Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen
- Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task project environment
- Effective time management skills to ensure that work is completed efficiently
- High level of computer proficiency; experience with Oracle HFM a plus
