The Business Development Manager is a high visibility role responsible for driving and accelerating the development of a key divisional growth segment. This role requires a leader who will quickly test and learn from various marketing/sales tactics in an effort to rapidly grow sales of the GRK deckbuilding product category.

The Business Development Manager will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to enable the deckbuilding program sales through product training development, hands-on product demonstrations, marketing collateral development, and other content creation. Additionally, success for this role requires individuals with strong communication skills who are comfortable collaborating with sales team members to identify, pitch, and win new business for the deckbuilding program. The Business Development Manager will also provide post-sale support at customers and tradeshows to build end user awareness and drive purchase decisions towards the new deckbuilding program.

As a key member of the product team, the Business Development Manager will contribute to both the annual sales plan (AP) and long-range plan (LRP).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Champion the GRK Deckbuilding Program launch. Lead the execution of go-to-market strategies and promotions. Test, learn and adapt various tactics to accelerate deckbuilding segment growth.
  • Influence the sales organization to promote the deckbuilding program through regular sales, customer and end user trainings.
  • Collaborate with marketing/agency to create and maintain key marketing collateral critical to simplifying the sales process
  • Support sales/marketing teams by representing deckbuilding product lines at customer pitches, tradeshows, and other events
  • Develop a relationship with end users and customers in target markets via Pro Events, trade shows, and other associations to further test and validate effective sales tactics.
  • Support the product marketing organization by identifying unmet end user needs to help build the new product development pipeline for deckbuilding
  • Collaborate with the product marketing team to develop/execute future targeted growth strategies derived from 3rd party end user segmentation.
  • Own/Deliver annual plan targets for deckbuilding sales growth

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, sales, marketing, or a comparable discipline, required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and/or product management experience in durable goods
  • Experience with the construction industry, preferred
  • Exceptional presentation skills and comfort pitching/presenting to Customers/End Users
  • Proven success testing, learning, and adapting various tactics to deliver sales growth
  • Competitive nature focused on winning and success
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Superior time management ability and prioritization
  • Natural tendency to be curious, positive, and creative
  • Microsoft Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams
  • Ability to travel approximately 40-50%, required
