Automotive Aftermarket Europe, one of 80+ business units owned by of ITW, manufactures and supplies specialty and innovative chemicals for the automotive aftermarket. Automotive Aftermarket Europe manufacture products in Spain and Belgium, and commercialize around the globe serving markets in Europe, Middle East, Russia, Asia and Africa.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the IT Manager France and Belgium, the ERP/DBA Technician manages the day-to-day operations in the factory in Sint-Niklaas and provides support to local users working alongside the rest of the IT team following ITW guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain SQL views, queries and scripts to respond to users’ requests.
- Develop and maintain reports in PowerBI.
- Resolve issues related to both SQL extractions and ERP.
- Develop and maintain interfaces between the ERP and third-party applications with vendors when necessary.
- Provide ERP Level 1 Support to users and liaise with ERP third-party consultant.
- Responsible for the sourcing, installation, configuration, maintenance, reliable operation of user equipment including laptop and desktop computers, printers, phones.
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
- Install and upgrade computer components and software.
- Management of the telephone system.
- Provide L2 users help desk support for on premise and remote users when incidents are escalated or require physical presence with the device.
- Configure, deploy and maintain Windows based PCs, Laptops, tablets, Apple OS iMacs, mobile phones (Android, iOS).
- Document any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system.
- Perform employee IT onboarding and users training on new technologies.
Qualifications:
- Academic background: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration or equivalent experience required.
- Professional experience background: 1 to 2 years of database administration.
- Technical skills:
- Strong knowledge/Expertise: SQL language, Relational DataBase Management System (RDBMS), ERP operations
- Working Knowledge: Windows Servers, Active Directory
- Desirable: Experience with IFS and Oracle.
- Availability outside of normal working hours to resolve emergency issues or to deploy new services.
- Certifications: Vendor certifications are a plus (Microsoft, Oracle etc…) or Certified Data Professional, Big Data Professional.
- Languages: Dutch and English (Upper Intermediate/B2), French is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English. Confident in communicating with staff at all levels. You must be self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and a strong commitment to team-work and customer service.

- Vendor management within the framework of global contracts
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Patient and professional demeanour, with a can-do attitude
- The best ERP Technician will also be a team player, willing to handle all support requests with courtesy and professionalism.
