The Product Manager is a key marketing leadership position that supports a profitable growth strategy for Loma’s product lines. The position will help drive development activities and decisions and is part of the team that delivers new products to market. The role leverages a first-hand understanding of market & technology insights, customer needs & the related value propositions, expertise in the relevant product line, and leadership instincts to achieve technological and commercial advantage for Loma. 



  • Works with the Innovation Director to set the vision and strategy for Loma’s products and takes on responsibility for the success of them
  • Analyses and translates market, business and competitive intelligence, and end user insights, pain points and interview data into business cases for opportunities
  • Develops and maintains a product roadmap aligned with strategic priorities, and produces the high-level product requirements, iterating as necessary
  • Collaborates with the development teams to deliver a stream of customer-backed innovations to market
  • Creates and champions the go to market strategy for assigned products, including positioning, pricing, and value proposition materials
  • Understands, develops, and communicates Loma’s value propositions, to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring everyone has the best possible understanding
  • Acts as a product evangelist, drives product launch and training, and works with the marketing team to create and implement marketing programs throughout the entire life cycle of the product
  • Collaborates with all R&D functions, Engineering Teams, Sales, Marketing, Management, Product Support, Stakeholders and other departments to ensure the successful realisation of all new products
  • Advocates ITW 80/20 and other toolbox standards / initiatives into everything we do
  • In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by their supervisor that are essentially related to their duties



  • Undergraduate degree in a technical or scientific discipline
  • Have demonstrable similar marketing/commercial experience within a comparable environment (food equipment, capital equipment, instrumentation, machinery, etc.)
  • Experience in primary and secondary research methods, including voice of the customer and/or opportunity evaluation
  • A track record of developing value proposition materials and experience working closely with marketing and sales to deliver messages to end users
  • A well-developed Hands-on approach, with strong communication, people and influencing skills to get things done
  • A disciplined and methodical work ethic coupled with good analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Results oriented
  • A global mindset. Must be culturally aware and be able to build constructive and effective relationships across the organization
  • A developed technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and other modern software tools
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on trips as/when required




  • Understanding of the market requirements for equipment intended for the Food Industry
  • Masters degree preferred
