Offering a brand portfolio that is well recognized within these industrial channels, our premium products address customer pain points and our direct sales team provides expert, value-added consulting at the customer level.

This position allows for remote work. 


Summary:

ITW’s Celeste is looking for a Sales Applications Engineer to join our team. The Sales Applications Engineer will be supporting the sales team from an applications standpoint for current and soon to be launched new products. She/He/They will also be the liaison between the customer and lab to aid in new product development by gaining deep insights into the airlines and Repair and Operations providers (MRO’s) cleaning processes and developing the specs for the new products. Territory will be global, with focus on the US.  She/he/they will be a team player, be open to coaching and enlisting help from others, and will take ownership of every initiative she/he/they create(s). This position will get support from a global and experienced sales and marketing, and technical team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Become the technical expert in current and new products advising/supporting the sales team and customers on demand.
  • Clear understanding of applications of products (how it is used, pain points and processes) and what is required to win with our products over competitors. Understand what value Celeste products bring to the customer applications and support value proposition development for the 80s products
  • Identify customer needs and pain points and articulate those need into what new productions/solutions will need to be developed (contributor to new product development).
  • Train distributor partner(s) sales team on Celeste products and support them in the field as needed
  • Partner with the Global Sales Manager to create Celeste’s growth strategy in the maintenance segment within airlines and MRO’s. Support its execution.
  • Secure OEM approvals and lead new sales opportunities through them.
  • Asist sales in meeting annual goal for new business and new products.
  • Develop airlines’ maintenance contacts and build corresponding database and grow existing airline contacts in new segments during face to face interactions.
  • Attend industry technical meetings to stay up to date on industry developments and research.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Chemical engineering or mechanical engineering background required.
  • 5 plus years of experience in application engineering.
  • Proven track record of developing new business or new products / solutions from zero.
  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook calendar planning): Intermediate/Advanced
  • Master’s in Business Administration is a plus.
  • Airline background is a plus.
  • Able to travel around 40-50% of the time and with overnight stays.

  • Find product solutions to customer’s problems using existing or new products to be developed.
  • Accountability and ownership; willing to follow procedures but to improve them as well.
