The Product Applications Engineer is responsible for engineering solutions for customer applications, preparing proposals and quotations based upon customer needs, process requirements and product expertise. Knowledge of air flow dynamics and blower performance curves is required. The candidate must communicate clearly and operate effectively with both internal and external customers at various levels of the organization, and be determined and passionate, with a high-energy leadership style and the ability to interface effectively with individuals at all levels.

The Product Applications Engineer reports to the Sales Manager and works closely with marketing, manufacturing, and product engineering to identify and fulfill customer needs, and ensure a high quality of technical service, develop and maintain relationships with customers, and follow up on leads and quotes. The Applications Engineer supports the sales process by supplying application information, technical drawings, quotations, quote follow-up, troubleshooting, and system installations and will also take technical direction from the Engineering Manager.

Key Requirements and Accountabilities

• Respond to all incoming technical service and quote requests, via phone, email and chat. 
• Prepare quotes and proposals for customers, based on your engineering calculations for sizing the blower and air delivery devices.  Follow up with customers on a routine basis, to close the opportunity. 
• Work with the marketing team to transmit voice of the customer data to them, prepare case studies and draft engineering bulletins to assist customers on frequently asked questions.
• Participate in project calls with customers, and the internal team.
