Position Summary

The Service technician performs various tasks in the Baton Rouge Service Facility related to Gamma Radiography and other NDT related products and services.

Primary Responsibilities

Upon completion of an in-depth QSA Global, Inc. Training Program:

  • Service and repair of Gamma RT equipment, consisting of controls, guide tubes, exposure devices etc.
  • Handling Radioactive sources and loading gamma radiography sources into devices
  • Shipping and receiving radioactive and non-radioactive products
  • Leak test analysis
  • Calibration of instruments when needed
  • Assist in the source/recycling/disposal operations
  • Repair and maintenance of x-ray devices

Qualifications:

  • Computer literate
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Able to pass extensive background test to hand RAM
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude with ability to assemble small intricate mechanical components
  • Perform tasks in a safe manner and according to ALARA guidelines
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 Year experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Radioactive materials, NDT or strong mechanical aptitude
