The Market Development Specialist (MDS) plays a critical role in our division’s profitable revenue growth targets, by supplementing our Sales team with end-user advocacy and understanding, to ensure our tools and products are favored by the end-users with whom our premium features can drive the most  (removed onsite) value.  The Market Development  Specialist works amongst our talented team of Territory Sales Representatives and our Cordless Market Manager to deploy programs, work jobsites and attend events targeted at end-user education and engagement. Data analysis and strong Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system utilization i.e. Salesforce by our MDS help translate these efforts to lead generation, brand recognition and loyalty, and revenue growth. 

This role may be based in Atlanta, GA, Atlanta Metro.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drives demand with end-users through various activities such as, on-site demos, trainings and safety and cleaning events
  • Represents and generates excitement for the Paslode Brand utilizing the product packed truck to stimulate awareness and conversion
  • Creates awareness with future end users at targeted trade school events
  • Ensures success of MDS programs with end user base
  • Leads implementation efforts with new end user accounts and critical initiatives
  • Achieves and exceeds sales goals through the development and monitoring of an annual sales plan
  • Assists in developing on-going/continuous market and competitive analysis (e.g. pricing, promotions, new products, new applications, etc.) of the territory by obtaining intelligence through multiple sources and participation in development of tactical and strategic territory plans
  • Analyzes territory customers and sales insights to create demand and pull through of ITW products 
  • Keeps an active pipeline of new customers and opportunities in CRM system
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of field sales experience
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and maintain a clean driving record
  • Travel required; local and 40-75% overnight (company lease vehicle provided)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM System
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish),required

Must be able to lift 40 lbs., able to walk and stand for long periods of time at customer events, trade shows, and job site locations. Position requires approximately 60%  travel and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
