We're currently looking for an experienced Power BI Administrator to join our scrum team and support the design, development, and implementation of our Microsoft Power BI environment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI Administration as it relates to optimizing our tenant data storage, Capacity Units, and data connection and security capabilities. Ideally you will also have experience with Azure Data Engineering, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Storage Account, SQL, Python and experience in manipulating, transforming, and validating complex datasets. Finally, you possess strong communication and business analyst skills to be able to collaborate closely with business stakeholders across various departments to translate business requirements into reliable accurate data models.

Qualifications:

  • Utilize Power BI Administration tools to monitor the health and improve the performance and reliability of our Power BI environment.
  • Optimize performance and efficiency of Power BI reports and queries through data modeling and optimization techniques.
  • Design and implement data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and provide innovative solutions to address challenges.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and related technologies, recommending opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data sources, data models, and Power BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Power BI solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship now and in the future.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Expertise In Power BI Administration
  • Exposure to Scrum Agile methodology
  • Experience with relational databases and Azure Data Lake
  • Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines
  • Experience in database migration, specifically migrating from on-premises to the cloud using Azure Managed Instance
  • Possess Microsoft Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
