IT Business Analyst - Supply Chain

The IT Business Analyst will work closely with internal customers, business partners, and external application vendors to understand business processes, workflows, and their connection to current and future software solutions. This role will be responsible for understanding business needs and providing technical solutions by creating detailed business requirements, testing, system documentation, and implementing quality solutions. A qualified candidate will be able to translate organizational needs into business outcomes while understanding the effect on a growing global organization.  This individual will drive the implementation of projects ensuring policies and procedures are consistent with company goals, best practices, software compliance, and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Understand business processes and systems for their functional area and act as a liaison for the functional area between IT and application team and the business.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering within one or more business functional areas to develop a comprehensive business requirements document to create the necessary solution to satisfy the business need.
  • Document and track the current states as well as strategic roadmaps of business processes and requirements within one or more functional business area.
  • Create functional and technical specifications based on business requirements. Evaluate changes to requirements and assess impacts of changes. Tracks requirements from business case to implementation while maintain requirements for reuse.
  • Provide documentation such as data model, data maps, knowledge base articles, etc., educate, and support production team when needed.
  • Work in conjunction with project manager to build test plan, create business test scripts, and update existing scripts.
  • Work with vendors and service providers as a liaison for the technical team to select the services and products that meet company requirements
  • Establish and maintain an effective system of communications throughout the organization.
  • Ability to translate technical language into non-technical understanding
  • Work closely with our user community and IT professionals to build consensus and standards that are scalable, adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of a changing business landscape
  • Respond in a timely and professional manner to end-user requests, questions, and problems
  • Comply with SOX audit requirements and execute change management best practices
  • Drive to keep current with evolving technology and apply it to future strategic objectives
  • Ability to deliver solutions with industry leading security and efficiencies that aligns with the Enterprise Agenda

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT technical, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant logistics (warehouse/materials) and Manufacturing functional experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a large, multi-regional, corporate environment
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong customer support orientation
  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing cloud solutions and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is a plus
  • Experience with supporting Business Solution Architect and internal business customers with warehouse/materials technology needs. 
  • Understanding of supply chain, light manufacturing and inventory management
  • Understand warehouse/materials module and business needs in these areas
  • Change management and project execution for warehouse / materials technology needs
  • Perform warehouse/materials admin ERP configuration
  • Perform warehouse/materials issue resolution with support of ERP Groups
  • Interface with ERP Groups for Warehouse and Materials
