JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an innovative Associate Product Manager to manage the life cycle strategy of our Portable Series of commercial products.  This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of product stragtegies to drive profitable above market growth. 

This successful individual will be part of an existing team that will include cross-functional product development resources as well as marketing personnel who will assist with devloping and executing the go to market strategy.  The individual will be responsible for the financial performance and market share of the engine drive products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and execute overall vision and strategy for assigned product platforms to drive profitable above market growth
  • Collect and synthesize customer insights (VOC) and competitive intelligence through customer interviews, market research, and channel knowledge
  • Analyzing consumer research data and recording recommendations for product improvement.
  • Develop an understanding of the end-user’s business and their unmet needs.
  • Coordinating findings with the product team and aligning them with business goals.
  • Developing marketing strategies for enhanced product features.
  • Developing efficient customer communication and feedback channels.
  • Evaluate and report on product performance – sales volume, margins, and market share
  • Act as a liaison with sales, engineering, manufacturing and appropriate division personnel to communicate, train and deliver product solutions that maintain market leadership

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Experience in gathering and interpreting qualitative product data and consumer feedback.
  • Must possess technical aptitude to understand product capabilities and consumer needs
  • Strong business acumen
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude, high motivation, and solid decision-making abilities
  • Well organized, aggressive self-starter with the willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to establish plans independently with limited direction or supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships among employees, distributors, and key end-users
  • Up to 25% travel require
